"A DATE WITH A WOMAN"

"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie"

"The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness"

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out
to dinner and a movie. She said I love you but I know this other woman
loves you and would love to spend some time with you.

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has
been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three
children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.

'What's wrong, are you well,' she asked? My mother is the type of woman
who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign
of bad news.

'I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you,' I responded. 'Just
the two of us.'

She thought about it for a moment, and then said, 'I would like that
very much.'

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit
nervous.

When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be
nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had
curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate
her last wedding anniversary.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's.

'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were
impressed, 'she said, as she got into the car. 'They can't wait to hear
about our meeting'. We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant,
was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First
Lady.

After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Large print. Half way through
the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A
nostalgic smile was on her lips.

'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,' she
said.

'Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor,' I
responded.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation - nothing
extraordinary, but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We
talked so much that we missed the movie.

As we arrived at her house later, she said, 'I'll go out with you again,
but only if you let me invite you.' I agreed.

'How was your dinner date?' asked my wife when I got home. 'Very nice
Much more so than I could have imagined,' I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened
so suddenly that I didn't have time to do anything for her.

Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant
receipt from the same place mother and I had dined.

An attached note said: 'I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that
I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you
and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant
for me.

I love you, son.'

At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: 'I LOVE
YOU!' and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in
life is more important than God and your family. Give them the time they
deserve, because these things cannot be put off till 'some other time.'

tat's mothers love isn't!!!!!.......people never mind where u are & what u are doing please do reciprocate your love which your mother shows to you & do spend some time with them because they expect nothing else from you except for your care, love & affection

"TRUE LOVE"

"Never underestimate the amazing power of love to change hearts and mindsets. Love can even give fresh inspiration to tackle what seems to be impossible"

"The virtue of true love is not finding the perfect person, but loving the imperfect person perfectly"

"Love is giving and sometimes giving means giving in"

"Love is like a mirror. When you love another you become his mirror and he becomes yours....And reflecting each other's love you see infinity"

The man had fought for the US in the War against IRAQ and after returning, he had got married with the girl he was in Love with… Real true Love indeed… Hats off… She is one of the great women in the world as far as I can see.

"FAITH"

"faith is small as a mustard seed can move mountains"

this is wat i learnt in my childhood in a form of a song or rhyme or watever it is!!!!......the following conversation between a professor & a student seems brilliant & mindblowing....u 'll end up wit surprise wen u get to know who the student is!!!! ......more than tat u'll get to know the real meaning of faith, not only about whether god does exist or not but on each & every aspect of life

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Prof : Is God good?
Student: Sure. Prof: Is God all-powerful? Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm? (Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good? Student: No. Prof:Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God... Prof:That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student:Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student:Yes.
Prof: So who created evil? (Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them? (Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you.Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him? Student: Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't. (The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold . Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat . We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy . Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it . (There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)
Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof:Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student :You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student:Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor.Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof:If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir? (The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher? (The class is in uproar.)
Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain? (The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir? (The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son. Student:That is it sir... The link between man & god is FAITH . That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

NB: I believe you have enjoyed the conversation...and if so... .......this is a true story, and the student was none other than..........

"VALUE OF PARENTS"

this is smethng tat evry youngster must read.......

A father was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, “What is this?”

The Son replied “It is a crow”.

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, “What is this?”

The Son said “Father, I have just now told you “It’s a crow”.

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, what is this?”

At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son’s tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. “It’s a crow, a crow”.

A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, “What is this?”

This time the Son shouted at his Father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times ‘IT IS A CROW’. Are you not able to understand this?”

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

“Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child”.

While the little child asked him 23 times “What is this”, the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.
From today say this aloud, “I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today”.

"A LOVABLE LOVE"

I dunno whether dis is a real luv story or not....but the moment i read this story i was vry much touched by the kind of love the guy & the gal shared in dis story ........it was really awesome, adorble, wonderful, heart touching.......wat more to say.....to know wat true love is juzz read this story.... it tells it all....especially the last words of the guy

He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after
her, while he so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the
party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but
due to being polite, she promised. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was
too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please,
let me go home…. suddenly he asked the waiter. “would you please give me
some salt? I’d like to put it in my coffee.”

Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he
put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously; why
you have this hobby? He replied: “when I was a little boy, I was living near
the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea,
just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty
coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my
hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there”. While
saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.

That’s his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can
tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home,
has responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about
her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice
talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets
all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was
such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee!
Then the story was just like every beautiful love story , the princess
married to the prince, then they were living the happy life…. And,
every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she
knew that’s the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said:

“My dearest,
please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I
said to you—the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so
nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt It
was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be
the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times
in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to
lie to you for anything..

Now I’m dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don’t like
the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.. But I have had the salty
coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for
anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my
whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you
and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee
again”.

Her tears made the letter totally wet.Someday, someone asked her: what’s
the taste of salty coffee? It’s sweet. She replied.

Love is not 2 forget but 2 forgive, not 2 c but 2 understand, not 2 hear
but 2 listen, not 2 let go but 2 HOLD ON !!!!
Don’t ever leave the one you love for the one you like, because the one
you like will leave you for the one they love.

Find a guy, who calls you beautiful instead of hot.

Who calls you back when you hang up on him.

Who will stay awake just to watch you sleep.

Wait for the guy who kisses your forehead.

Who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats.

Who holds your hand in front of his friends.

Wait for the one who is constantly reminding you of how much he
cares about you and how lucky he is to have you.

Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, “…that’s
her.”
